High Hopes for Pot Trademark Protection Dashed

A few months ago, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office created a new trademark category dedicated to medical marijuana, spurring a frenzy of applications from pot dealers in the 14 states where the drug is legal for medicinal purposes. But the category was nixed last week.
